Open Mic lawyers are asking Makhadzi and her management to retract the statement where the singer accused them of not receiving a cent from the sale of her songs.

The Ghanama crooner claimed she didn’t receive any money then and then in a recent development the Open Mic production informed the masses that they made a payment to her and it was an advance payment of 8 million rands. They are now demanding an apology from her.

Makhadzi in her recent tweets that sparked outrage on social media stated that she continued to work with the record even after not receiving any payment from them since she signed a deal with them three years ago.

Her tweets read: I signed with open mic only for three years. In these three years, I dropped 4 albums. I have never received any cent of my sales . Some of my album reached platinum some gold . And a lot of hits songs that reached platinum and Gold. But I continue to work wit,hout complaining.

In a recent development, Open Mic through the legal team is demanding an apology from Makhadzi for a false claim.

The Record Label said they paid popular musician Makhadzi over R7.9 million in the three years she has been contracted with it and to back up they claim they shared a bank statement showing the payment proof.
