Makhadzi On Winky D: She Pushed My Manager, What A Zimbabwean Promoter Told Me On Stage At The UK Festival (Video)
Award-winning South African singer and songwriter, Makhadzi has taken to social media to speak about the harsh treatment she got from a Zimbabwean show promoter at the UK Festival.
No doubt, Winky D and Makhadzi are two of the most popular musicians in Zimbabwe. They have both achieved great success in their respective genres and have won numerous awards.
In 2023, they were both scheduled to perform at a music festival in the UK. However, Makhadzi was reportedly unhappy with Winky D because he went over his allotted time on stage. She took to social media to express her frustration, and the incident caused some controversy.
In a video that appeared on X (formerly Twitter), Makhadzi explained how she was almost attacked by a Zimbabwean show promoter because she is not fully Zimbabwean.
She said the lady came right to her face and said the show was all about Zimbabweans and asked if she was a Zimbabwean.
Makhadzi also claimed the Zimbabwean promoter pushed her manager out and also kicked her DJ out of the booth and was given limited time to perform.
According to her, she shared 40 minutes with Jay Prayzah while Winky D performed for 80 minutes.
